You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

[He just eyes her and ignores the fact that she seems annoyed at what he wrote because it didn't go to her orange-arm-walkie-talkie-book thing.]

[But don't send it to her she doesn't want your ramen message. There's a forlorn sigh and she finally moves back into her own personal space.]

I wish you would remember something. It would make this a lot easier if you did. Not just because I don't have to explain it all to you, but then I would know I'm not completely insane.

[Because the possibility remains that she really did just imagine it all...]

[He presses 'send' anyways because he wants to make sure it works. There's a beep at Ino's omni-tool, and he smiles in triumph even as she talks about being insane.]

Eh? You say somethin'?

[Can she throttle the hero of her village and get away with it?

But she just groans to herself. Really, anybody else would be okay too. She doesn't know if she can handle Naruto without some help. He's too much.]

Nevermind.

[Oh, good. She didn't say anything important. Then he's just going to type something else on his little toy and send it to her again.

hi ino it's naruto can you read this? ]

[What? A message? Naruto had already sent her that stupid ramen one. She opens it up with a little difficulty and more than enough curiosity. Still getting used to this thing.

And when she does--] ...Geez.

Yes, Naruto. I can read it.

[That makes snicker and start playing around with it more, getting out of the message screen and looking at the other options. Sure, he has no clue what any of it means, but it's all kind of cool and fun to play around with.

And even though it looks like he's not paying attention to anything except the omni-tool while he types on it, he chirps: ]

You shouldn't worry so much. We'll figure out a way outta here and be home in no time. Besides, it's not like we're alone or anything, y'know.

[At least she knows this is really Naruto. That had been pretty similar to what he had said before.

Yeah, alone. That's what Ino worried about the most. As annoying and intense as Naruto could be, she was honestly glad she wasn't all by herself for this.

So while she would regularly tell him to stop ignoring her, she doesn't this time and just lets him play with his new toy.]

Right!!

Just don't get too distracted with that thing or you're never going to get anything done.

I'm not gonna get distracted.

[Except he probably will.

He rolls his eyes and snickers before looking over at Ino again. Well, his clones will find out something. While they're looking, he might as well gather some information with Ino too.]

We should probably look around too, y'know.

[He definitely will, if she knew Naruto at all. Suffice to say, she had a pretty good idea of his character after practically growing up with him. She didn't know him like she did Shikamaru or Chouji but he wore his heart on his sleeve and that much was enough to know.

Ino's face takes on a more serious look and she nods. They could find information on the omni-tool most likely, since it was so much like the Guide, but it was better to get a handle of your surroundings first to find advantageous spots for ambush and...other ninja things.]

Yeah. Come on.

[She takes the lead and starts walking down a shady hallway, looking nervous and glancing around.]

What's up with this place?

[Naruto quickly follows after her, not looking nervous at all. He's fine -- as far as he's concerned, this is a little diversion. They'll figure out a way back to the battlefield in no time at all. Ino and he might find something before his clones do.]

Looks kinda... weird.

[He might not be nervous, but he does realize how strange this place is.]

Feels empty.

[Even though they're surrounded by people.]

[Weird is...an understatement. It's the complete opposite of Thor. Of Konoha. They both definitely had their more dirty spots, but this place was out of control and just felt wrong.

Because she feels like she's being stared at, she'll slow down so the two of them can walk side by side. If anyone decided to attack, they couldn't go for one without the other knowing. She just had a feeling it was going to happen, too.

She looks over her shoulder to check. Nothing, just more people glaring and watching.]

Feels creepy to me, especially with all these people staring.

[People are staring? He doesn't notice, especially he's more concerned with figuring out how to get back and all the time they're wasting right now. Dammit, his clones should have found something by now, right?]

Just stare right back.

[SHRUG]

Only you would be okay with that.

[They're shady and they glare and though Ino isn't scared to fight to protect herself, and even Naruto, she can't help but be nervous. Who were these people? Ugly looks are something she got a few times on Thor but it seems like everyone hates her. It's a different sort of look. Like everyone is targeting her.]

What good would that do anyway? Staring contests aren't going to make them look away.

[He just rolls his eyes. It's not like he's thought this through, Ino. They're staring? Stare right back! It's that simple because maybe then they'll feel how uncomfortable you are about all this when the same thing is happening to them.]

I'm just sayin', y'know. Besides, it's not like they can hurt us when we're together.

I doubt that would stop them from trying.

[Didn't stop the Purists. If a big enough group with the same goals had that in mind, they could only fight back. At least she looks away now, facing forward and where they're going.

I was following you until you started walking next to me.

[S I G H S lol] Well then just let me lead.

[Because she likes doing that. They'll probably get lost or whatever. She takes them down a few hallways until they reach a dead end, making Ino stop and stare at the wall and then people behind them. Still watching. Were they herding the two?

It's pretty obvious to everyone that these two are really new here. Easy targets. Or so it would seem.]

[Oh great, she's led them to a dead end. Naruto is still staring at the wall, his hands locked behind his head as he just frowns a little and glances at Ino.]

Nice job. Are we s'pposed to walk through the walls now?

[It's not her fault! She doesn't know this place at all.]

No! Ugh! We'll just...turn around.

At least we know not to go this way.

[She turns on her heel and starts to walk the other direction, ignoring how more aliens have gathered to almost make a block.]

Er...excuse me.

[Yes, more aliens have gathered, and Naruto finally notices after all this time that they aren't being followed by normal people. He's busy staring at a vorcha merc looking at them.

Then he hops behind Ino and grabs her shoulders.]

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

[Ino is used to aliens and though theses aren't any she's seen before, she just looks annoyed/anxious about it all.

Until Naruto is shouting in her ear. She whips around to shout right back at him.]

You don't have to yell, I'm right next to you! [And upon realizing she's yelling and drawing unwanted attention her voice lowers and moves to stand in front of Naruto again.]

I don't know, it's some species of an alien. I've never seen it before though.

Excuse me! Could you let us through?

[Well, he wasn't really yelling at her. He was just... excited is all, excited in a bad way. He's never seen anything like a vorcha or the other aliens walking down the hallways of Omega. Hell, he doesn't even know what Ino's talking about or why she's so calm.

Ino talks the polite route and asks them to let her through. Naruto, on the other hands...]

...

ALIEN?!

[What's an alien?]

[They were going to get killed by death of glares at this rate. Ino clamps her hand down around Naruto's mouth and laughs nervously.]

Sorry~! We'll just be going. My friend has a problem with voice control~! Ahaha, bye~~!

[She drags them around the corner to hide and finally releases his mouth.]

Are you trying to pick a fight! Stop shouting like that or I'll knock you out!

[At least she gives him a warning.]

[All he does is give her a dangerous glare as she clamps her hand over his mouth and drags him around. Once they're in the clear and she releases his mouth, he grunts.]

I'm not trying to pick a fight! I'm asking real questions here, y'know! You're not, so I figure I've gotta be the one to do it.

[She's not asking what aliens are. He's got to do it. :I ]
