You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

[S I G H S lol] Well then just let me lead.

[Because she likes doing that. They'll probably get lost or whatever. She takes them down a few hallways until they reach a dead end, making Ino stop and stare at the wall and then people behind them. Still watching. Were they herding the two?

It's pretty obvious to everyone that these two are really new here. Easy targets. Or so it would seem.]

[Oh great, she's led them to a dead end. Naruto is still staring at the wall, his hands locked behind his head as he just frowns a little and glances at Ino.]

Nice job. Are we s'pposed to walk through the walls now?

[It's not her fault! She doesn't know this place at all.]

No! Ugh! We'll just...turn around.

At least we know not to go this way.

[She turns on her heel and starts to walk the other direction, ignoring how more aliens have gathered to almost make a block.]

Er...excuse me.

[Yes, more aliens have gathered, and Naruto finally notices after all this time that they aren't being followed by normal people. He's busy staring at a vorcha merc looking at them.

Then he hops behind Ino and grabs her shoulders.]

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

[Ino is used to aliens and though theses aren't any she's seen before, she just looks annoyed/anxious about it all.

Until Naruto is shouting in her ear. She whips around to shout right back at him.]

You don't have to yell, I'm right next to you! [And upon realizing she's yelling and drawing unwanted attention her voice lowers and moves to stand in front of Naruto again.]

I don't know, it's some species of an alien. I've never seen it before though.

Excuse me! Could you let us through?

[Well, he wasn't really yelling at her. He was just... excited is all, excited in a bad way. He's never seen anything like a vorcha or the other aliens walking down the hallways of Omega. Hell, he doesn't even know what Ino's talking about or why she's so calm.

Ino talks the polite route and asks them to let her through. Naruto, on the other hands...]

ALIEN?!

[What's an alien?]

[They were going to get killed by death of glares at this rate. Ino clamps her hand down around Naruto's mouth and laughs nervously.]

Sorry~! We'll just be going. My friend has a problem with voice control~! Ahaha, bye~~!

[She drags them around the corner to hide and finally releases his mouth.]

Are you trying to pick a fight! Stop shouting like that or I'll knock you out!

[At least she gives him a warning.]

[All he does is give her a dangerous glare as she clamps her hand over his mouth and drags him around. Once they're in the clear and she releases his mouth, he grunts.]

I'm not trying to pick a fight! I'm asking real questions here, y'know! You're not, so I figure I've gotta be the one to do it.

[She's not asking what aliens are. He's got to do it. :I ]

If you have questions, ask me! Not some creepy alien guy! Geez!

[She points at his omni-tool, reminding him of his new toy and the fact that it could do a lot and probably tell him what aliens were. If it could tell her that Thor didn't exist, she's pretty sure it can do that.

She peeks around the corner and narrows her eyes at the weird aliens again. They had been following their trail. Why? She would use her Shintenshin to make them go away but unless they had a leader, all that would do is make one of them leave. Besides...

She looks to Naruto again and how easily he was freaking out. Was she like that too? She can't really leave Naruto here to fend for himself in a weird place. By the looks of it, it was just the two of them. Naruto would have sensed someone else if he found her and she didn't feel any familiar chakra either.

Leaning against the wall, she sighs heavily and pulls up her own omni-tool. They had to find a place to stay...]

[But geez, he doesn't want to check his omni-tool. That's just weird. Besides, it's not like he's had the ability to do this before, so he's not going to think of using the omni-tool when he has a question.]

What're you lookin' for?

I'm just making sure those guys don't follow us anymore.

[And they seem to be just standing around so she'll turn to Naruto...and he hasn't checked his omni-tool. FINE, she'll explain. Aliens. Okay. Let's see...]

Alright, listen. Aliens are...really weird-looking people from space. They come from different planets all over the galaxy and they all look different. Eventually you get used to them because they're everywhere on these space stations.

It's hopeless explaining anything to you, isn't it?

[Yes, it's hopeless.]

[Unless she had pictures. That's why she said to use his new toy.

It's utterly hopeless. And she seems to realize this. With Naruto it was about trial and error, that's just the sort of guy he was. Shikamaru and Chouji would have understood no problem but it's like Naruto had the brain of a five year old or he was still stuck in the Academy sometimes.

Well, not everyone could be as sharp as she was. Or Shikamaru. Someone had to be the dunce.]

Just don't yell at them anymore, okay? Sheesh.

[Yes you could. You just need to make it into a food metaphor somehow.]

[He just stares at her, face blank. Why the heck does she know how this? How? As far as he knows, aliens haven't ever been around Konoha. Since when was Ino the resident expert on this sort of crap?]

... Was this a class at the Academy that I missed or something?

[Since this wasn't her first rodeo, METAPHORICALLY speaking.

But she almost, ALMOST feels bad. Naruto had no idea what's going on and had she been in his place too, they would have gotten a lot of nothing done. He wasn't the only one that freaked out over seeing his first alien.]

No, it wasn't. [And if she explained how she knew she would go into detail about Thor and she's 100% certain it would all be for nothing anyway.

Unless she was using food metaphors.]

Weren't missed classes sort of a normal thing for you anyway?

... No. I was there. Not like you'd notice anyways.

[BLAH. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.]

Are you kidding? You always made sure everyone noticed you.

Whatever. C'mon. The weird guys are lookin' again.

[She doesn't know what compels her, but she looks over her shoulder as he mentions it. They're leering now because it's more than obvious they're lost. At least she has someone with her and she's confident that if it came down to a fight she and Naruto could at least get away...]

Y-Yeah.

[No more dead end, so it's time to quickly get out of here. Under her breath;]

Do you think we can lose them?

[The way she asks it makes him glance at her. Is she nervous? Huh. Well, he'll just have to have twice the confidence to make up for it, right? Besides, he has doubt whatsoever that they can get away, and it shows on his face through a big grin.]

You kidding? If we're really in space, that just means I'm the fastest shinobi among the stars instead of just the planet, y'know.

[Without a word, he just wraps his arm around her midsection and reaches out with his other hand to make a dramatic show of snapping his fingers. Fiery chakra starts like a spark there and then engulfs his entire body before moving onto Ino's.

Then they flash down the hallway, bouncing off the walls and even the ceiling a few times back towards the landing pads since that seemed like the safest spot.

When they finally arrive and Naruto lets Ino back down, he's still grinning. The chakra around him fades since he's lighting up half the area. Then, for some reason, his knees feel weak and shaky. He drops down to one of them and tries to focus his double vision for a second.

What the hell?]

[Naruto doesn't yet understand how things worked here. There's a reason Ino is nervous when otherwise she would stand up to those aliens no problem. They probably had guns and she wanted to avoid those at all costs. She would have to tell Naruto about them too. Though he would probably say something like 'a gun can't hurt me!' or whatever hero saying he thinks will make him look tough.

Or something like being the fastest shinobi among the stars. Geez.

There's a gasp of surprise that's lost behind them somewhere as they take off, flashing all over Omega until they end up back where they began. So fast... it's sort of amazing and she'd say so but with that little show, they've attracted even more attention. She's about to ask him if he's seriously looking for a fight, SERIOUSLY, but he's on his knees and looks winded. Was that supposed to happen? Amazement is replaced with anger is replaced with concern. She drops down to her own knees and places a hand on his shoulder for support.]

Naruto! Don't overdo it like that! [Though they did definitely lose them. She didn't know how the Kyuubi's chakra worked but it looks like it took a lot out of him. It was the same for his Rasenshuriken too, wasn't it?]

Are you alright?

[It's weird as hell. It almost feels like the slight exhaustion that sets in after using Sage Mode for extended periods of time. It's not too bad, especially with Naruto's stamina, but it was entirely unexpected and sneaked up on him. He'll have to ask Kurama about it later, but for now...]

Eh? I'm fine. Just tripped a little.

[And he quickly hops up so she's not concerned. He just grins even wider and nods.]

Well, we shoulda heard from the clones already. Wonder what's up, y'know?

[He tripped? Her brow furrows but well, it's believable. Naruto was a total dork when it came to stuff like that. So she sighs a little, relieved that it wasn't serious or he wasn't hurt or all of the above.]

You tell me, they're your clones. Did they get lost?
