LOG. OPEN. SHENANIGANS WELCOME.
who. Kirrahe (
motivationalspeaker), OPEN
what. A Choose your own adventure style log. Kirrahe's out gathering intel and exploring and you get to decide where you meet him
where. We'll get to that.
when. Any time during the week.
warnings. Nothing as of yet, will update accordingly.
Scenario I: Zeta District- If one is to be stuck somewhere for an extended period of time, it's a good idea to get a feel for the neighborhood. Poke around in corners and all that, get weird looks from NPC's. Like moving into any new place.
Getting to know the neighbors is probably a good idea too. He's not going door to door introducing himself or anything, but he's more than happy to chat with anyone who approaches.
Y'know, assuming you don't come at him with a shotgun. He's prepared for that, too.
Scenario II: Afterlife- Outside or inside. If outside, Kirrahe is hanging around near a group of whiny alien NPC's, nonchalantly listening in to whatever random conversation they're having. The elcor bouncer keeps giving him weird looks, but Kirrahe doesn't seem to care.
If inside, he's doing much of the same, though is likely spending much of his time cloaked (most likely how he got in in the first place 8U). If he's not hanging out near a random wall, he'll be at the bar. You'd be surprised how much information you can pick up from a bunch of drunks.
Scenario III: Omega Market- Seeing as Kirrahe's weapons and equipment are outdated by a good three years, you bet your ass he's going to be out price checking. Whether or not he'll actually be able to afford any of this stuff in the near future remains to be seen. Still, weapons can make for interesting conversations.

The whole gruesome sound of bones breaking thing did get his attention. Generally that was never a good sort of sound to hear. It didn't sound like there was any struggling, so it was unlikely that the dog was attacking someone. Maybe it had found a corpse to chew on? Either way it was concerning, and Kirrahe rounded the corner with his pistol drawn, aimed at
some guy.
Some guy that was doing some very strange things and it was all very unusual. And also he wasn't a dog.
"...Well, that wasn't what I was expecting."

He buttoned the coat up and turned back to face the fellow. "Professor Randolph Lyall of London, Earth, in eighteen seventy-five. I promise I mean you no harm." So if he'd like to lower the pistol, he certainly could.
no subject
"Well, this place certainly seems to be getting more interesting by the minute. Is it safe to assume there was a reason you lead me back here, Professor?"
There were actually quite a few questions on Kirrahe's mind at the moment, some more pressing than others (like what the god damn was that). He figured he might as well see what this human wanted before interrogating him.
no subject
Really, he had simply assumed Kirrahe would have figured it out before too long if he continued watching in the same areas Lyall did, and it was always better to have that handled on one's own terms rather than accidentally, or so he'd always found. Besides, he was curious about someone else watching so inconspicuously.
no subject
Not that he had much of an elaborate strategy going in to begin with, but he could worry about that later. Right now he had a weird human-dog-thing-guy to deal with. It wasn't so much dealing as it was chatting really, but one could never be too certain.
"Anyway, my name is Kirrahe. I suppose was curious, mostly. The only animals you really see around here are varren, maybe pyjacks if they hitch a ride on a shuttle. It's unusual to see strays from Earth running around."
no subject
He was familiar with varren-- and highly tempted to eat them, though he had been good so far-- but the other was new. "What might a pyjack be?" Something edible?
no subject
The salarian crossed his arms, casually leaning against the wall. Maybe he was being too hard on himself, but whatever. Omega's pretty much the last place someone would want to let their guard down.
"I can't say I've ever seen anything quite like you before. I may not be an expert on humanity, but I'm fairly certain it's unusual for them to turn into animals. As for pyjacks, they're nothing more than vermin. Similar to Earth's primates. You're probably not likely to find any around here."
no subject
He wasn't going to hold his breath for that one, honestly, considering most humans looked at him like he was crazy when he even mentioned the word, whether for mentioning something they'd never heard of or bringing up a myth.
no subject
"I've heard the term, but I'm not familiar with any of the myths surrounding it. Human literature and the like isn't a strong point of mine."

Kirrahe honestly wasn't sure if he believed him. All things considered, it was a pretty outlandish story. Then again, he had just witnessed this guy in the middle of some sort of odd transformation. He'd still give him the benefit of the doubt, but damn was this weird.
"I must say, you're looking quite healthy for a dead man. You'll have to forgive me for prying, but how did you manage to achieve this state?"
no subject
Among other things. He didn't immediately enumerate all the other abilities. He liked Kirrahe's promise as a fellow conspirator, but he didn't trust him that much yet.
no subject
"I can't say I really understand any of that, but I think I get the basic idea."
So this guy was immortal and could turn into a fluffy wolf. Sure, that made perfect sense. Except that it didn't but hey, it probably wasn't the strangest thing on Omega right now.
"As far as 'your version' of Earth is concerned, I've seen plenty of evidence pointing to alternate universes. Our scientists have had theories about this sort of thing for centuries, but there's never been a realistic way to effectively research it."
no subject
Read: Lyall. He'd been dealing fairly well with it all, he thought, but it was still quite bewildering. Hence his skulking around as a wolf trying to learn all he could.
no subject
Stating the obvious wasn't exactly helpful though, was it. The least Kirrahe could do was answer this guy's questions, if he had any.
"My apologies for the impromptu interrogation. If there was anything you needed to know from me, I'd be more than happy to answer a few questions."

Kirrahe gave the human a little shrug, "Sorry I can't really be of more help. I'm at something of a loss regarding my own employment."

As good as Kirrahe was at turning up information, that hadn't really been the sort of information he'd been looking for up until this point.
"I can find out for you, but I'll need time. Omega's a big place, after all."
