You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

Communications appear restricted to within Omega and surrounding area. Sending and receiving signals from beyond relay impossible. Uncertain of root cause. Already determined fault not in omni-tool.

I noticed when I tried to reach some of my contacts, it's rather concerning. I believe it has something to do with the relays and most like the Reapers. At the very least you're not the only member of the crew I've met recently.

Date on omni-tool correct? Troubling. Missing six months of time from memory.

If reaper threat in late stages of cycle presence of Normandy crew distressing. Could be trap designed by reapers. Keep Shepard out of picture long enough to decimate rest of universe. Currently largest threat to reaper success.

That's the correct date, it's not terribly surprising that you've jumped ahead in time. I've met a couple of others who are the same way.

[Liara will shake her head. She has so many theories right now that it's making her have a headache.]

I was thinking something similar, by disabling the relays it would give them an advantage. Although I don't know why it would be pulling people in from places that have never heard of asari before.

Fascinating phenomenon. Will need to study further. Collect data. Cannot form answer with limited amount of details.

Confusion tactic. Accident. May wish to cull larger number of organics since thwarted attempt to create new reaper at collector base.

That's a good theory for the number of humans that were pulled here but why would they do so on Omega? Humans aren't terribly prevalent here, they're one of the lower populations on the station.

May wish instead to cultivate diverse range of species. Broaden scope to produce new reaper more efficiently.

[Is that possible? He isn't sure. It would require him to dig further into the current research and access to Cerberus files they no longer seem to have.]

That doesn't seem to be their intent, they really just want to continue their cycle now that Shepard destroyed the human-reaper creature.

Besides, of all places to strand humans Omega seems like the least favourable because of the conditions.

Perhaps intent to quicken destruction. Humans with little merc experience more likely to sustain injuries.

That might be highly possible, although it doesn't account for why either of us have been trapped here. Perhaps the Reapers screening process isn't as accurate as they would like it to be.

Suggestion that reapers fallible. Helpful to Shepard's mission. Morale boost. If Reapers have one weakness, may have another.
