intro log

who. everyone!
what. entering omega.
where. landing pads
when. today
warnings. none for now

You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

Welcome to Omega.

ooc notes
You’re free to expand past the landing area, but please start all threads here. Please remember that your character will not have housing until Aria makes a post granting it; it’ll be on [community profile] outsiders and linked here when it goes up.

They well may. Yet talking and answers are separate matters entirely. There are many which talk for what seems an eternity without managing the simplest of answers.

[Morrigan's frown did not lessen, and unlike her time in the Pearl her posture was near wary, as opposed to the supreme confidence of her time in her own world. Nothing in Thedas could compare to this level of population density, particularly no area within the woods.]

A talent, I trust, of which you have some familiarity.
backstabbing: shit you got nice eyes ([cheeky] i'd tap that)

[Isabela's perhaps not as uncomfortable as Morrigan is, after all, she's been to many places, cities and wilderness alike (mostly cities though, far more profitable for a pirate), but she too feels this pressing weight of unfamiliarity that settles in her chest.

she can read the witch's stance, but won't jab at it for she feels similar. perhaps the only thing they'll have in common: the bond in which their world provides.

that, and really weather-inappropriate attire.
]

You say that as though it's a bad thing. I'll have you know I've talked my way out of many unfortunate situations.

[she grins]

I have a rather talented tongue, what can I say. A cunning linguist who knows her way around senseless talk and then some.

Besides, it's rather silly to go to a pirate for answers.

Is a pirate truly such without a ship, I wonder? A thief still, perhaps. Or peculiarly dressed bar house patron.

[Despite it being her own- insulting- musings, Morrigan ends the sentence with a small wave of her free hand, dismissing the notions.]

No matter the replacement title you must chose, you were not with us last I recall. Where were you?
backstabbing: ([hips] HANDS. ON. HIPS.)

[she likes to consider herself all three thank-you-very-much.]

I was ready to board my vessel and hightail it out of Kirkwall with the wind at my hair and the sea on my skin. Suffice to say, this is a rather disappointing outcome.

Kirkwall.

[The various little ways in which humanity divided it's lands up wasn't the most interesting topic to Morrigan, but she knew enough of general geography to recognize the distance between where they had been.]

Well, now I am impressed. 'Tis a far reaching net that has been cast for us. Our hosts may require an even more firm refusal than I had thought.
backstabbing: ([ANOTHER PROFILE] so many)

I could use something firm right about now...

[she laughs at her own joke, features smoothing. Morrigan doesn't make her nervous, hedge witches are a common staple to Rivaini culture.

if anything, talking to this women is just stilted. her words flow like ancient text. at least she's pretty to look at.
]

And besides their rather impressive nets, do you have any idea who these hosts might be? Or are you as just as much at a loss as I am?

[Morrigan's eyes flick upwards in an abridged version of an eyeroll. Nothing more than she she would expect of a compatriot of the Antivian assassin, no matter how well his innuendos may have served him in growing close to- and thus manipulating- the Warden.]

We possess this one item in common, thief. The identity of our hosts is unknown to me. Something I seek to rectify.
backstabbing: ([bruised but not broken])

[personal profile] backstabbing 2013-02-15 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Please, please. [she holds her hands up in mock defense at the term 'thief', shaking her head and laughing.] Call me pirate.

But do tell me when you rectify our common ground. I would so love to here the cause behind our situation.
