intro log

who. everyone!
what. entering omega.
where. landing pads
when. today
warnings. none for now

You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

Welcome to Omega.

ooc notes
You’re free to expand past the landing area, but please start all threads here. Please remember that your character will not have housing until Aria makes a post granting it; it’ll be on [community profile] outsiders and linked here when it goes up.

[ Omega is not where Jack expected to be, not considering where she was last and the last thing she remembers of this dimension - the relays imploding in shiny blue bursts and all. But it is what it is, and at least she's got the galaxy right this time. The best she can do now is go hunt down Aria and trying to get some kind of port out of this shithole.

That is, if the fur wearing newcomer in front of her ever stops gaping at the station and gets her ass moving. Probably some backwater colonist who'd never been past her own moon. Great. Omega's going the eat her alive. Yeah, well, curiosity killed the adventure seeking colonist, what else is new. Jack lets out an annoyed huff, speaking up behind her. ]

Mind the gap, space monkey.

[ Oh, hey. She's moving. Awesome. ]

[Hawke glances back and then steps to the side, letting Jack go forward. She's calmed somewhat, though she still has a mind to believe this is all some fever dream from elfroot. It has to be; it doesn't make any sense.

But her eyes briefly roam Jack's figure, the tattoos standing out, and though she doesn't comment on them, it's clear they have her interest.]

Do you know where we are?

[ She's about to be on her way when the question is shot to her, stopping to turn back with a hand cautiously resting on her pistol strapped to a leg.

Jack's used to the looks she gets for her ink, so it hardly bothers her. ]

Did you seriously get on a shuttle with no idea where you were headed? [ Jack... Can't really say much, though, as she doesn't even remember getting on the shuttle, and sure as hell didn't mean to end up at Omega. ]

I don't remember getting on any sort of shuttle. They don't even have them where I'm from.

[A ferry hardly counts as one of these large contraptions. She's not sick and she's not hallucinating; that much is clear. Someone has to be able to explain what this is and how she got there. Jack may not be able to, but she can fill in some of the blanks.]

I'm from Kirkwall. Thedas. Are either of those familiar to you?

Never heard of 'em. But I haven't exactly mapped out the entire galaxy.

[ Wearing furs... Doesn't know what a shuttle is... Doesn't know what Omega is... This is starting to sound disturbingly like Abax. ]

So... nothing going on here looks even remotely familiar to you?

[Lovely. Ah, well, she can take some comfort in knowing that Kirkwall really is the sore on the galaxy that no one wants to know about. That's something to take some...odd pride in.]

Not a single thing, no. Sorry.

[ Wow, this person seems seriously out of her time, and glancing around the station, there are... a lot of people that look like they don't belong her. Fuck and a half. The Abax shit is bleeding over now. Fuck this noise. ]

Welcome to 2186. If that means anything to you.

It...doesn't, I'm sad to say.

[2186? Who waits that long to end one age and begin another?]

What age is it?

[ Just... side-eyeing and a slow blink. ]

The... space age?

[Hawke looks concerned.]

The Exalted Age, the Dragon Age, etc. Things like that. What era is this called?
