intro log

who. everyone!
what. entering omega.
where. landing pads
when. today
warnings. none for now

You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

Welcome to Omega.

ooc notes
You’re free to expand past the landing area, but please start all threads here. Please remember that your character will not have housing until Aria makes a post granting it; it’ll be on [community profile] outsiders and linked here when it goes up.

[ Intentions are everything, Shepard. But that's a talk for another time; there's a moment of silence as he regards the other man, trying to decipher what's on his mind, what he could possibly be talking about... though Shepard's right. Heart-to-hearts could wait until after they figure out what was going on.

(That doesn't mean he likes the weight behind his words.)
]

No. Frankly, I don't remember anything after we passed through the relay.

[That's interesting. Shepard couldn't remember anything after he passed through a relay as well, but he's pretty sure they're talking about two different times here. Shepard was on his way back to Earth to finish the fight, and Thane... well, Thane wasn't around during that.]

Which relay?

[ It'd have been a strange question (weren't they just on the same ship?), but everyone else he'd met so far had acted about the same way. Chalking it up to nothing makes sense anymore, his reaction is mild. His lips thin into a line for a second, something grim about the way they turn at the corners. ] Omega-4. You remember the assault on the Collector base, I hope.

That and more.

[So Thane's a bit in the past. Shepard isn't so sure on how he's supposed to feel about that. Everything is so strange, and he doesn't have all the answers. If there's one thing he hates, it's having to face a situation without enough intel.]

That was months ago for me.

[ Thane goes still as a statue for a second before he breathes out a hm. ] It seems we're at a disadvantage, Shepard. [ The drell is meticulous in his details, usually taking however long he needed to get a grasp on the situation before moving. Now, thrown into something like this with too many questions and too many variables... well, at least he wasn't alone. ] Do you have a plan?

ditto bro it's busy tiems lately

[He can't help but smile just a tad at that question.]

Round up the crew, find out why we ended up here at Omega, and then get Aria to loan us a ship. If that doesn't work, we can always 'borrow' one.

[He doesn't feel like he has to go into more detail on what 'borrow' has such emphasis on it. People 'borrow' shit all the time on Omega, that's for sure.

Besides, he doesn't have time for going the goody two-shoes route when the universe is at stake.]
