intro log
who. everyone!
what. entering omega.
where. landing pads
when. today
warnings. none for now
You’re not sure how it happened.
A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.
You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.
You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.
Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.
Welcome to Omega.
ooc notes
You’re free to expand past the landing area, but please start all threads here. Please remember that your character will not have housing until Aria makes a post granting it; it’ll be on
outsiders and linked here when it goes up.

His forehead creases and he looks at the wrong arm first with a frown.]
I don't know. How am I supposed to tell if I can't see it? Is there some kind of word to activate it?
no subject
[See, you have him on a tech high right now, so he's willing to demonstrate. He pokes a few more buttons and it turns itself back off again, the bright golden orange glow dissipating into thin air, like so. He makes a gesture.]
See? Cool hologram's gone. You just have to try and touch your arm. [Which he does on his own arm, and the omni-tool lights back up to life.] Don't know what you do when you have an itch that needs scratching there, though, since the hologram reacts to touch.

This time, his arms lights up with the orange hologram and he makes a 'huh' noise. That is pretty neat.]
Looks like I do have one. What does it do besides tell time?
[He frowns.]
It can't just stay there. It has to be attached to something.
[He would guess his is attached to his uniform somehow. You, no idea, watch maybe?]

I haven't had a chance to sift through all of it yet, but it has a lot of information on these aliens, news feeds and junk, and some other stuff. Probably porn too, if I look hard enough.
[He starts really getting into the nitty gritty of this omni-tool, fingers a flurry of motion as he presses all sorts of buttons.]
Looks like it also has video, text, and audio options for communication. Filtering options, lockdown procedures, et cetera. Not bad. Could be improved.

...porn? Steve isn't sure he wants to see what kind of porn Tony can find on an alien space station. He's not sure he wants to know what kind of porn the man fancies in general. Seems like a private sort of thing.
Most of the buttons the other man pushes are lost in the quickness of his movements. Steve is more listening than watching. He glances down at his own again.]
You say there's information about where we are in here? [He'll definitely be fiddling with it on his own.] Sounds like a useful device.
[That's all he really wants to know about it. He doesn't share your utter fascination with technology.]
Have you seen anyone else?
