You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

Didn't think so. [ Welp, that's out. The relay theory doesn't seem likely, seeing as she'd been no where near on, but something else strikes her as odd first. ] Thessia? The hell were you doing on Thessia? Weren't you all on Earth with Shepard?

Yeah no shit. Something's telling me it's not the relays, though...

We were trying to find the catalyst in the middle of a full on invasion. Thessia was lost and we lost the catalyst information to Cerberus. [Really it was failure, cold and hard all the way around but Liara didn't feel like dwelling on it.] We have to get the catalyst before we can even think of making a final stand on Earth, but now this is just a huge mess.

The only theory I had was that it might've been the reapers tampering with the relays. It'd explain when we ended up on Omega.

[But it didn't explain how Jack was here then.]

Something very strange is going on.

...You're a ways behind me, then. [ Said sort of to herself. Telling people about the future isn't always a great idea, but if the relays are fucked here, isn't this already the future? Not sure if Liara should know or not. ] It was the final assault, last time I remember.

I wasn't anywhere near a relay, and the only one in the system I'd just watched explode.

[ A huff and she runs a hand over her hair, pushing back a few strands. ] Understatement of the century.

We need to find out just how many of us are here, then we can make a plan. I'm sure Aria will love to see the majority of us on her station. [Liara did not want to get shot at again any time soon.]

But I'm glad to see that you're alright, Jack. As the war wears on I'm not too sure how everything will turn out, honestly.

To run her bitch errands, yeah, probably. [ Though she's pretty sure she'll be annoyed enough to have them around, given the Normandy crew usually stirs up shit wherever they go. ]

Likewise, Blue. I hadn't heard much from the battlefront, but knowing Shepard, she won't let you guys die out.

Aria is hard to predict, you never know what she might be planning, sadly.

It's hard to say. So much has happened and I know it's wearing on her terribly, I just hope that we come out of this all in one piece or at least mostly in one piece.

Shepard makes a solid crew. You guys can handle it.

I think currently she has enough to worry about in repairing Omega from the Cerberus attack, we're low priority for her.
