intro log

who. everyone!
what. entering omega.
where. landing pads
when. today
warnings. none for now

You’re not sure how it happened.

A minute ago, you had somewhere to go, someplace to be. Maybe something important to do, or maybe you were just going out to buy groceries. Whatever it was, it doesn’t matter anymore.

You’re in some kind of transport -- a shuttle, given the turbulence and the sounds outside. You’re surrounded by strangers, some of whom might not even be the same species you are. There’s no point in asking. They don’t know how they got here either. The cockpit’s blocked off, like someone forgot to put in a door, and not even a glance at your omni-tool -- a holographic interface accessible by merely tapping the sensor on your left arm -- is any help.

You’ve only got a minute or so before the shuttle starts descending. There aren’t any windows -- this doesn’t look like a shuttle meant for long trips. When it finally touches down, the doors open automatically.

Before you are landing pads, abandoned equipment scattered about. There are other shuttles landing, and whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to get off before yours dumps you out the door. Turn around, and you’re met with a hazy skyline, only half the buildings seem to be coming from above.

Welcome to Omega.

ooc notes
You’re free to expand past the landing area, but please start all threads here. Please remember that your character will not have housing until Aria makes a post granting it; it’ll be on [community profile] outsiders and linked here when it goes up.

[ Peter wasn't having any better luck trying to get his bearings after running into Sylar. If anything, he was just that much more scattered, frantic in his own hurried way, trying to figure out what the hell he was supposed to be doing next. If anything at all. Considering he didn't know where one foot in front of the other would lead, part of him wanted to stay put and the other part wanted to run.

Why he couldn't just get back on the shuttle and end up in the hospital all over again, Peter didn't know, but he was trying to move along. He was trying to walk and find something that made any sense at all, but nothing was... really connecting.

Maybe if he tried fussing with the sensor embedded in his arm or-- or maybe that worked. Whipping his attention around to someone who apparently knew what the hell this place was, Peter only stared for a second - was she even a human? - before he gave in, wanting the help more than anything else.

You know where we are?

[ Wow Peter of course she's human, rood. When the stranger pipes up next to her, Jack shoots him a sidelong glance, assessing. There's an obvious gaze that roams over him, taking in the out of place clothes and the lack of any kind of tech, armor or weapon. Another of the new space monkeys shot in from pandimensional who the hell knows. Awesome.

But this is about the third person to pop her the 'where are we' question, and by now she's getting a little irritated. ]

Do I look like a tour guide to you? [ She deadpans with a squint. But whatever, someone needs to tell these newcomers to watch their freaking asses around here and its better her and a Vorcha that's going to try to mug them for all they're worth. She gives a bored, obviously tired explanation. ] Omega. Largest concentration of under-handed scum and cutthroats you'll find in the galaxy connected to a huge rock of eezo floating through space.

Word to the wise - don't wander into dark corners unarmed.

[ Look, he just doesn't know these things, okay. Gosh. Geez. But after her response, Peter's well aware that he probably shouldn't have even asked in the first place. It doesn't really help his state of his mind that he just came out of a coma, oh, a couple hours ago, and though he's not going to bring up that little fact, it makes him look all the more apologetic about the fact that he's screwed up. ]

I wasn't-- [ But he shuts his trap a second later and listens, taking it in without really processing anything she's saying. It's not like he can actually think through it just yet even if he tried, but as long as somebody knows and he can have the information, he can pretend it makes him feel better.

Sort of.
]

Thanks. I appreciate it. [ Awkwardly, he runs a hand through his hair, fishing out one last question. ] Were you trying to end up here? Or did you get dragged along with the rest of us?

[ Honestly, Jack's in an irritated, abrasive state about 90% of the time anyway, so it's no fault of his he just found the wrong person to ask. But she does give half a shit about some of these people, if just from sympathy for the ones that were lost in Abax.

She rolls a shoulder, ignoring the apologetic look as well as the thanks. ]

Not to Omega specifically. It's my universe, but I wasn't here before-- [ Before Abax. ] I was one a different planet last I remember.
