gonna give your liver a workout. (CLOSED)
who. joker (
airraid) & dr. chakwas (
hacksaw)
what. gettin' their drank on.
where. joker's place.
when. shortly after the adjutant attack ended.
warnings.a lot of shit-talking and general debauchery the doc drinking joker under the table.
It had been about a day since all of those creepy-looking fuckers had been cleaned out of the streets, and for the most part, it looked like things were getting back normal on the station.
Or, well, as close to normal as Omega got, really. Joker wasn't entirely sure there was a normal for the place. Unless you counted vorcha camping out in dark alleys and krogan headbutting each other when they were having one of their little pissing contests about .. whatever it was they had pissing contests about. Who had bigger quads, or whatever.
He didn't really like thinking about it.
Still, things had died down, and when Dr. Chakwas had sent him a message saying that they should get together to celebrate making it through the apocalypse, he was all for it. Especially when she'd said she'd bring the alcohol. (Because let's face it - he was still a little too broke to be paying for anything that was actually fun.)
He sat on the couch in the central room - what passed for a living room, he supposed - staring at the vid screen on one wall and wondering if there was anything worth watching that wasn't Omega's version of the news, waiting for the good doctor to show up.
And then .. he was probably going to end up giving Tali a run for her money on how many toxin filters one could go through in one night. If he had the need for such a thing, that it.

And a few other choice liquors besides. She hadn't gotten a chance to drink with Joker in, well... ever, she supposed. Clearly they should rectify all those missed opportunities all in one go.
When she arrived at his flat, she knocked on the door with one hand; the other was preoccupied with balancing a box-- yes, a box-- full of liquor bottles on her hip.

For some reason, he was surprised to see how much alcohol she'd brought with her when he opened the door to let her in - he wasn't sure why, really, but he shook his head nonetheless and was quick to let her in, letting the door close behind her and hobbling back over to his place on the sofa.
"So," he began, smirking before he actually sat down. "Are we even going to bother with glasses, or are we going to be civilized about this?"
There was a pause, and then: "Thanks for coming, by the way .. we've never really seen much of each other outside of the medbay, have we?"

Which meant yes, they'd use glasses until they were too drunk to pour.

"Should I even bother askin' if we're gonna make toasts or are we just gonna go straight to getting toasted?"
See what he did there? Huh? Look forward to more of that once he actually started drinking.

"If you feel the need to make a toast, by all means, make one. I wouldn't mind just enjoying the moment, myself, bad puns and all."
