Wow, Vriska really doesn't like being talked to like this by an alien. She frowns, tipping her head forward a little in an aggressive gesture that will be lost on a species that doesn't have horns, and folds her arms with a soft mechanical whirring sound.

"Okay, look, I have no idea what a 'relay' is, but are you telling me you people only have one way of getting between solar systems and it's broken?" She narrows her eyes. "That's ridiculous! There has to be another way, don't you have any psionics?"

The context of the 'whole universe away' thing seems to have gone over her head. She knows she's pretty far from home – that much, at least, is obvious. She's just content to assume that 'a universe away' still means that if she goes in the right direction for long enough she'll cross the Alternian Empire's borders, just that it'll be a long while.
