Elena nods. "I don't remember anything in-between."

Assuming there was an in-between. That seems a little too far-fetched to postulate out loud though. She's not sure how something like that could happen since there's always a beginning, middle, and end to everything. Elena can only really assume that she doesn't remember the middle at all.
