aftermath. (OPEN)
who. north (
noscope) + anyone who would like to run into him.
what. recovering from the accident re: the mission with york and garrus.
where. anywhere, really. his apartment with carolina, the markets, he'll be all over the place.
when. backdated to around the same time as york's open post.
warnings. none? other than residual guilt for york getting hurt. :|
He'd only spent a day or so in Mordin's clinic. His injuries hadn't been bad enough that it merited staying longer than that - but there was still some residual guilt when he had to leave York there. It was hard enough to look over at the bed she occupied, because it was always going to feel like it had been his fault she'd ended up there in the first place.
As it stood, the burns along his right side were healing well enough. His midsection was still wrapped in gauze, but the pain had subsided substantially, and it was finally something he felt he could deal with. It was difficult to stand or sit straight for longer than an hour or two, which meant that he more often than not found himself propped up on either the couch or in the bed he shared with Carolina.
Time passed, and though it seemed things were getting back to normal, North couldn't let go of the fact that their mission had failed. That he could have been better at his assigned tasks, that he could have somehow managed to be the one that helped keep it on the straight and narrow. Keep it from failing.
He was just fated to be the member of a team that ended up going down in the fight, wasn't he?
