who. Joker (
airraid) and South (
traitortwin)
what. alcohol and the aftermath thereof
where. their apartment.
when. right about now.
warnings. eeeventually nsfw?? adjskals Also South is still her own warning.
Things got downright weird. Seriously.
Mordin? Gone. No rhyme or reason, just gone. That was weird. It was also weird that everyone was flipping about about the attack on the asari homeplanet - well, not weird that everyone was flipping out, but weird that it had happened in the first place. She also had her mixed feelings about what Aria had to say on the matter... but really, she didn't feel like sharing that with anyone. No one's business, and no one asked her anyway.
Whatever, right?
So with all the weirdness going on around Omega, South was pretty content to just stay in the apartment for the night. She had no idea what she was going to do to stave off the boredom, because she sure as hell wasn't tired enough to just go to bed early or something, but she'd think of something. Too bad at the moment, she was just stuck staring into Mordin's old room, wondering what the hell to do about... things. Everything. Anything. And not to mention all the stuff...

blame it on the henney
It further made him think that time was a really fickle bitch in this place, and even though he didn't understand how that was even possible, it made for a perfect excuse to get drunk.
Which was precisely why he went to find South, carrying a bottle of something that Chakwas had left when they'd had their drinks together - how many times was he going to be able to dip into that stash without exhausting it, anyway? - and nudging her with a shoulder as she stood staring into Mordin's old room.
"I'm callin' dibs on all the cool shit in there we haven't gone through yet," he said mildly, leaning against the doorframe. "But I'm not settin' foot in there until we figure out where he went, exactly. In the meantime - feel like playing a little game?"
blame it on the blue top~
She turned her attention back to all that stuff in the room when Joker spoke, snorted in response. "You don't get all the cool shit. I'll fight you for it if I have to, and I will win. Fair warning." She gave a little smirk to go with that claim. "And... yeah. Maybe he's coming back. Not like we know right now." She wasn't often one for optimism, but sometimes it just... felt better, even if only a little.
She turned, leaned back against the doorframe with her arms crossed as she glanced at the bottle of "something" in his hand. "What kind of game?"
.. blaming that icon for the fact that i can't think of the next lyric. :|
.. That might have been why he liked her so much. She didn't take shit from anyone. Kind of like a certain commander he knew ..)
"Hey, hey, okay .. no fightin' .. I might break something. I'd like to go without that if you don't mind." He paused, brows raised. "So if he comes back and all his shit's gone we're totally going to say we got robbed. Or I'm gonna tell him you took it all and then run like hell."
Yeah, right. Joker. Running. Ha.
He wasn't about to tell her what he had for them to drink, but he did smirk when she glanced at the bottle. "An I'm-bored-outta-my-skull-so-I-wanna-see-who-can-get-drunk-first kinda game." And then he waggled his eyebrows at her. "You up for it?"
/innocent
She kind of wanted to know what was in that bottle before she agreed to anything. She'd had her run-ins with some weird kinds of booze since she'd been in Omega, and it was a wonder she hadn't sworn off of trying new things with the way some of the more alien stuff hit... but then again, South was never one to turn down a challenge, and she was even less the type to quit while she was ahead.
The eyebrow-waggling earned him a scoff, but the suggestion and the question earned him a halfways grin. "Yeah, I'm up for it. It's something to do, right?"
there is absolutely nothing innocent about you.
(Joker. Stop. Or you're going to end up getting a few broken bones for your trouble.)
She shouldn't worry about what was in the bottle - to be honest, he hadn't exactly checked to see what it was before he'd grabbed it, anyway. That was going to be part of the fun, he guessed. Element of surprise and all of that nonsense.
"Better than sitting on our asses staring at each other." (Even though, South, you're hot as hell and he has a problem keeping his mouth shut around pretty women. You're lucky he hasn't managed to earn himself a punch for something he's said yet.) He gestured toward the living room with a jerk of his head. "C'mon .. let's get this party started!"
yeah, you're right... /SHRUG
Well, if not knowing the booze was part of the game, then she'd just have to take it and run with it. Bring it on, Joker.
"Party with two people. Right." She laughed a bit though, shook her head as she followed him into the living room. "Start pouring. And don't expect me to lose, either."
no subject
Plus, it was a lot more fun, if you asked him. And he was kind of glad to know someone that he could banter back and forth with that actually got his sense of humor. That finger pointing at him just had him smirking at her, shrugging slightly. "Hey, he won't take it out on me. He'll probably tell me it was the logical thing to do since we weren't sure if he was coming back or not. He's a pretty chill guy like that."
(Never mind that he'd been a member of the STG and probably knew more ways to kill a man than Jacob Taylor did. That was still worrisome.)
"Hey, it's better than a party with just one, right?" He waggled his eyebrows at her as he continued to the living room and plopped down on the couch. He poured them each a shot and pushed South's toward her with a smirk.
no subject
She took the shot glass, held it up and looked it over a bit, even held it up to the light and looked through it. Just for kicks. Then she shot him a smirk right back... and waited.
"Here's to... what, a party for two? And weird shit everywhere?"
AND HERE WE GOOOOOO.
He was really, really amused by how she observed the glass. He still wasn't going to tell her what was in it just yet - he wanted to see how she reacted to it before he let her in on the secret.
But when her question came across, he tilted his head to the side, genuinely contemplative. "Sounds good to me .. bottoms up, then?"
no subject
She waited for his answer, grinned a bit when she got it. She gave him a small salute with her glass. "Bottoms up." And she knocked the shot back.
At least it wasn't ryncol. Ryncol was green, right? Ever since her bad experience at York's bar, she was done with that shit. (For now.)
