A single tree makes no forest.
who. Everyone
what. Clean-up Day + Merc action
where. Damaged areas of the Zeta District
when. Saturday, all-day
warnings. PG-13
It took a few days of organizing, but clean-up of the Zeta District starts today! With four groups of volunteers working at fixing some of the damage wrought by the flames of the last week, it's a definite message being sent out to everyone, even Aria, that the Outsiders look out for their own.
((OOC: This is a free mingle log, so feel free to start your own threads about what your characters are up to. The most important thing is to have fun with each other, so go forth and multiply your CR!))

working on repairs
He transformed, the tool slipping into an inner compartment, and flew up and through the gaping hole he'd been examining, then landed on what was left of its roof. He returned to his more bipedal form, slipped the welder out, and knelt down by the scrap metal he'd been flying up.
Now to patch the hole in this roof....

ooc: oh i need to remember my set log and network format, I think I started to mix them up XD
"Xiahou, do you need something?" Hasn't really registered with Starscream that the human may just be watching something unusual. "Something need to be delivered by air?"

So here's his plan: smile and nod his way through all the tasks assigned to him, then go drag the same couple of bags of trash back and forth from one pile to another, while sneaking off to surf the extranet on his omni-tool whenever he thought no one was looking at him.
No one will possibly know the difference, right? ]

Right before Marco so much as presses a finger to his omni-tool, Dun's got his hand firmly on Marco's shoulder.]
You actually came! There's hope for you yet, I thought you wouldn't show up. Good, good. You're just in time.
[Where did that bucket of water and the deck brush come from? Who knows, but Dun all but pushes them into Marco's hands before he steers him towards an area of apartments with coated in soot and grime.]
You may start here and work your way down. I will be over there coordinating the workmen, so do not call me unless you are in dire need.
[And 'over there' happens to be conveniently within sight of Marco's assigned territory.]

Marco's hands fly away from his omni-tool in pure guilt as soon as he heard Dun's voice, and he fixes a smile on his face as he's steered into some things that needed to be Cleaned. ]
Scrub this, don't call you ever, got it.
[ He drags the bucket over to the dirty wall and stares at it forlornly, then starts slowly scrubbing little tiny circles. The slower he works, the less other work he's going to get assigned, right?
He's sneaking looks over his shoulder at Dun, trying to keep his body angled so as to block the obvious orange glow as he pulls up his omni-tool again. ]

Not on Kirrahe's watch. If he had any say in the matter, nothing was going to breech this parameter. From time to time he would raise his sniper rifle and use the scope to keep an eye on things further out. Thankfully, it all looked clear. For now.]
no subject
[So hi Kirrahe, don't mind if he just passes by your perimeter position on his way to the next job site. He's just going to look out with you - sans scope. The mechanization of his optics do noticeably adjust.]
It's too quiet.
no subject
Kirrahe let himself relax, lowering his rifle.]
My thoughts exactly. I know we've attracted attention from the mercenaries, we weren't exactly subtle about trying to repair this place. Someone is going to take advantage of this situation. The question is when.
no subject
So despite all of the wires and odd tools she has in her hands she'll call over to him.]
Anything interesting?
no subject
I've seen a couple vorcha poking around at the edge of the parameter, but they haven't done anything that requires taking their heads off.
[Yet, anyway. His finger's been on the trigger the whole time, just in case.]
no subject
[She's not going to poke him for what he's watching, it's better to let snipers do their thing she's found.]
Just scouts so far then. Good. Hopefully no one blows up the power boxes again.
no subject
[Honestly who would ever send vorcha out as scouts they're terrible at it]
no subject
[She'll go back to trying to repair this stupid electric box and get zapped.]
Ow, dammit. Can't believe I said yes to doing this.
no subject
We need all the help we can get out here. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Are you okay, or do you need any medi-gel?
no subject
[She's not a sniper, she just pokes around in electric boxes with metal tools. She's a smart cookie.]
I'm just sick of vorcha scurrying around the place, bit of light will fix that nicely.
no subject
Hopefully, though I'd rather deal with them than a load of krogan.
no subject
Agreed. At least most vorcha aren't smart enough to realize when they're in danger of being shot. krogan just ignore it and get mad, which is the last thing anyone needs.
no subject
The whole redundant organ system thing doesn't help any. Unless you get them right between the eyes, then it's not a problem. Doesn't help if they get too close, though.
no subject
I'd always double tap with a krogan, even if you get them between the eyes you never know I've seen them get up after getting shot clean through their head before.

And I think we should have power.
[She'll plug something in with a clunk as all of the street lights flick on for the first time in eons, lighting up the dingy district and turning on a lot of old lights that likely haven't been used in forever.]
Look at that. Now everyone should have power.

no subject
[She'll do that and somehow get down from where she was perched.]
On to the next one. Those vorcha still scuttling around?
no subject
Don't see them. If I had to guess, I'd say they were reporting to their superiors about our progress. I do see a couple batarians, but they aren't wearing merc armor. Could be civilians.
no subject
[She'll just hop down and start heading for the next electric box that hasn't been looked at in ages.]
I wonder if anyone in the galaxy actually likes Batarians?
no subject
They don't build themselves up to be the most pleasant species in the galaxy. Personally, I don't really have any issues with them. There are bigger things to worry about.
no subject
[Keep being creepy there frog-man.]
I hope you don't use that scope for evil, Kirrahe.
no subject
Never have before, and I don't intend to start now.
no subject
Good thing, otherwise I'd be worried.
