Go on. Amaze me. (Closed)

who. Otoya ([personal profile] falcon_bait ) and Haruto ([personal profile] bearerofhope )
what. A magic show of sorts
where. Near the entrance to the residential district
when. Before the event
warnings. N/A

Absentmindedly Otoya glanced down at his wrist, more out of habit than actual curiosity as to the time. The Stuhrling watch he had received from his grandfather remained on his wrist, though Otoya could not even be sure it was keeping correct time any more. Was time on this... station... different from Earth? Undoubtedly, he was sure. Hell, he didn't even know what solar system he was in, let alone how far this place was from the system's sun. Add that to the long list of questions he wanted answers to.

He lifted his eyes from the watch face, glancing about the small alleyway. He could just make out the main walkway past some crates, a thin trickle of beings either coming or going just beyond them. The noise was a murmur from Otoya's position, which he preferred. He would take the hum of machinery over the strange languages and harsh comments any day of the week. On the whole, the student preferred to keep to himself. Don't cause trouble where one can avoid it, don't interact with the odd beings if one could avoid it... However, today, he was breaking that rule.

Leaning forward, Otoya frowned towards the crates. Magic. He allowed himself to scoff. More than likely it would be parlor tricks, but hey. At least it gave him something to do with his afternoon - and perhaps this man had a few answers to some of Otoya's many questions.

"Are you sure you're speaking Japanese?" Haruto asked plainly, feeling rather blunt about his choice of words. Most of what Otoya had just said had gone right over his head, though he stood there for a few more moments thinking it over and trying to make sense of it. "If you want an answer, you're going to have to start asking questions."
