how to make friends and influence people. (closed.)
who. south (
traitortwin) and benji (
techburst)
what. a friendly meeting and and general bonding.
where. the quad.
when. RIGHT NOW.
warnings. some srs fckn bsnss up in here. actually just south and benji getting to know each other so they can be awesome in the future.
She'd been coming to The Quad often enough lately to have already picked one spot for her own. A place that allowed her to people-watch without being noticed, though she didn't think she had much of a problem with that in the first place. She was small, and used to going unseen, just for the simple fact that it was part of her job.
Which was why she was in her little corner, sipping one of those mojitos that York was so good at making, looking about as nonchalant as she could manage without also looking like she didn't belong there. Because let's face it - she wasn't the type of person you would expect to see in a bar just for the hell of it. She had to have a reason.
Except this time, she really didn't. She just .. felt like being here. And if that was her prerogative, that was how things were going to be.

The same kind of person that has had to do the same thing a few times before. It never gets any better, it seems, even after she'd managed to land herself a pretty awesome boyfriend. She can recall every single time she'd had to turn to Octavius, say something along the lines of "I'll be right back," and proceed to knock whoever had pissed her off ten ways from Sunday.
She'd also felt the need to do the same thing to any bitch that had seen fit to hit on him, but .. somehow she's managed to keep herself in line so far.
So, that was what he'd said? Damn, she didn't blame her for knocking him the fuck out. "Probably no one .. but you can't blame a guy for trying, I guess. It's a shame what people think pass for decent one-liners these days."
Benji pauses, taking a sip of her own drink. "I don't think I've seen you around before .. are you new here?"
these two are gonna hold each other's purses for fightin times aren't they~?
She took a sip of her own drink, grinning in a self-satisfied sort of way. She shook her head, though, at Benji's question. "Nah. Not new, just... coming here more often. Are you some kind of regular, then?"
hells to the yes, man!
She shrugged at the question with a languid roll of her shoulders, pushing a bit of dark hair over her shoulder. "I .. you could say that, I guess. I've been here for a little while, but I've only recently started coming here. I'm kind of friends with the new bartender."
She could say that about York .. right? Sure she could.

"Friend of York's, huh?" South smirked a bit. It figured that York would make friends quick, even if she wasn't the York that South knew from home. Some things just didn't change. "Makes sense."
screeches quietly at these new icons oh my goodness
Benji nods and takes another sip of her drink. "I helped her kick some ass during the whole adjutant thing. We've been kind of getting to know each other since then." She tilts her head to the side. "You're close with her, too?"
