He didn't know these surroundings. How had he ended up here? He'd been jumping toward the door while the corridor to the moon disappeared around him; the Gate Switch must have malfunctioned in the explosion. Unfortunate, but Ryusei just had to find out where he was and then find the exit somewhere. There had to be one, even if he didn't know how the Gate Switch even worked; it'd never seemed important enough to find out. A mistake that could no longer be rectified, now.
He was sore everywhere. Not bad enough that he couldn't walk, but he could feel the exhaustion pulling him down. Physical, mental exhaustion. He shook his head to clear it; he couldn't think about his friend's death now. He'd have time, later. He had work to do right now. First, scope this place out. Find somewhere he could rest and recharge, even a little, before tackling the issue of whatever this place even was.
His leg gave out; he stumbled. Pull yourself together, he commanded himself as he leaned against a wall, hunched over, taking deep breaths.
