The simple manner of her greeting was more than enough to let him know that something was bothering her - and while he had an idea of what it was, for some reason he couldn't exactly bring himself to come right out and say it.

He needed to tell her about himself and Carolina. How close they'd gotten, especially after her disappearance from the Tranquility. He'd been an absolute wreck and Carolina had been the only one to offer any sort of comfort, and there .. was no getting past how he felt about her.

It was just a matter of getting it into his head that he couldn't beat around the bush about this forever.

"Didn't take much .. all I had to do was follow the trail of disgruntled roommates." North paused, chewing on the inside of his bottom lip. "Do you .. trust these people you're choosing to live with?"
