Prowl had already positioned himself in the rubble of the remaining areas, keeping well out of sight for the moment being. He wasn't close enough to try and ambush Starscream - it would have been far easier to spot him than Arcee. He was also fairly certain any movement from him would probably be easily spotted by the jet's senses.

No, he wasn't here for the primary attack. He was here as back-up. As soon as Starscream was ambushed by the more nimble scout, he'd move in from his position and block in the exit in case her initial strike failed.

The other baton was with him, and seemed more proportionate to someone of his size. One strike, that was all that was needed.
