While he liked to be polite, the fact that he was running horribly low on mana even after the last few days was more important. Dragon's presence was still pulling on him and the dull ache was a constant reminder that he wasn't doing good enough. If another attack happened, he had to be ready to move, which meant taking it easy and eating as much as possible in the meantime. Having a low-paying job didn't help matters with how expensive it was to get real food.
