The talk of mana was slightly over Otoya's head, but the object he received from Haruto was solid enough. It's weight resembled that of other swords he had held, though perhaps a little heavier. Intrigued, the student turned it over in his hands, thoroughly examining it.
It was unlike any other sword he had seen. The blade was done in Samurai style, though there were obvious differences. Where an actual samurai sword would curve slightly, Haruto's remained pin straight. Furthermore, the fuller of the blade expanded oddly, and the guard.... the guard matched the gaudy belt the other was wearing. At least the grip was normal enough.
Holding the weapon properly, the student checked it's balance, surprised when it didn't appear to be over weighted. That alone could be considered 'magic' he thought idly. Checking the object again, Otoya noted the hinges by the guard, and after a moment had made the sword 'transform' into a gun. Handy. Useful. He would have to explain it's design to THIRDi. That is if he ever got back.
"What exactly is this," he asked, for clarification. Though it seemed obvious to him what it's uses were, he wanted to confirm. The idea of a sword converting into a gun was interesting...but also extremely problematic. The needed inner workings of a firearm would require more space, surely.
