who. Shepard
fightforthelost
what. Adjutants assemble!
where. Zeta District
when. During the event. All of it. Who needs sleep?
warnings. violence, cursing, douchebaggery
[Omega wasn't exactly a vacation spot, but it wasn't knee-deep in Reaper territory either. Shepard and the crew had had something of a reprieve from the war even if Shepard was still pissed he was stuck on the space station.
And now the war had found him again. It was time to get back to work. How ironic would it be to have helped Aria take Omega back only to lose it to Reapers? On top of that, the newcomers to the universe probably had no idea what was going on.
That explains why Shepard is out and armed to the teeth. He hasn't taken a break since the first Adjutant sighting. He's operating on caffeine, discipline, and the fact that he's just plain pissed.
He's not cutting corners either, throwing himself into larger groups to clear out safe areas for people. Vanguards are always a force to be reckoned with, and Shepard is no exception.
So maybe you're in over your head, maybe you're trying to help out, or maybe you just don't have a clue what's going on. Whatever the case, Commander Shepard is probably in your area.]

The 1st day, night-time?
Not a man to sit and wait, he decided to just check the surrounding area for any suspicious activity. Shepard will come across him checking a dark and dim alleyway.]
sounds good
You lost?
no subject
No. I don't see how it's any of your business either.
no subject
Excuse me for the concern then. Maybe I'll just let you get back to skulking in the darkness then, if that's okay with you.
no subject
[It's probably not helping that his tone is curt and his body language is aggressive.]
no subject
Right, we all get it: you don't care. That doesn't change the fact you're probably going to get killed if you don't find somewhere to bunker down for awhile.
no subject
[He knew it.]
Who is it? The mercenaries? Or is that blue Aria woman?
no subject
[A beat as he folds his arms over his chest and shifts his weight.]
I'm guessing you're not exactly from around here, are you?
no subject
And I take it you are, so let's cut the chat and get down to it. What are they and what are they doing here?
no subject
I don't really have the time to chat. The Reapers want to destroy all organic life in the Galaxy. There's the short version.

[Dun spits on the ground, annoyed.]
I'm going to warn the others in the house. You-
[A sudden whisper slitters its way out of the darkness. Dun quickly turns around, his sword out and ready to slice through flesh. His skin crawls as his eyes searches the area, looking for whatever it is that's creeping in the shadows.]
no subject
We've got bigger problems right now.
[They'll have to deal with this before they warn the others. Hopefully they'll be okay for the moment.]
no subject
Another whisper and something seemingly merges out of the darkness. Shocked, Dun's remaining eye widens as the mangled blue-grey form of the Adjutant staggers forward at them, its glowing pale eyes staring right at him.]
Heavens...
[His grip tightens on his sword as the creature moves forward their way. Its twisted form and moans send a chill down his spine; it looks like a demon from hell, some tortured soul sentenced to the last level of the netherworld to pay for its sins for all eternity. He's never been a superstitious man but there's nothing else he can think off to explain this malformed being.]
no subject
He hits it with enough force to knock it down and quickly draws his shotgun. With a boot on its midsection, he fires a single shot into its face too put it out of its misery.]
no subject
Shaking his head off any superstitions thoughts and squaring his shoulders, Dun charges the demons, his podao at the ready to hack and slash away.
"These things can bleed." That sole thought provides him some comfort and familiarity; just like all the other humans he's cut down back home. They are in no way human but just like the enemy soldiers they can be killed, and so long as he can pierce through flesh and bone than he knows that he can handle this situation, his way. Plus, he can't let himself be seen as some backwater jaw-dropping old-timer who needs the help of all these fighters from the future with their fancy gadgets and magical abilities.
No. Dun determines that he will not be shown up here. Even though he's still recovering from a few older injuries he's not going to let that and a couple of incoming blue blasts stop him from doing what he does best. The narrow alleyway does make evading slightly difficult, but not impossible. Dun leaps to the right and, using the wall as a platform, leaps from side to side dodging the long range attacks. He closes the distance between him and the closest one. Pushing himself off the wall and ignoring the slight ache that comes from his still healing ribs, he brings his podao down in one giant cleaving movement, completely splitting the Adjutant in half.]
